Stanley Keith Cox, 90 of Independence, Missouri; formerly of Pittsville and Odessa passed away Thursday, February 03, 2022 at his home.

Stanley was born March 30, 1931 in Independence, Missouri; son of Hollis Cox and Nellie Mae (Sandage) Cox.  He graduated from William Chrisman High School in Independence, and shortly thereafter, enlisted in the United States Air Force.  He was united in marriage to Marie Katherine Bircher on May 28, 1955 in Parsons, Kansas.  The couple made their home, north of Odessa for eighteen years.  In 1991, they moved to Pittsville.  Stanley had resided in Independence for the past twelve years.  He was a sheet metal worker with TWA Airline for several years.  In 1957, he graduated from Bethesda Bible Institute in Portland, Oregon.  He pastored at Grace Pentecostal Church in Stillwell, Kansas for several years.

Survivors include his sister: Lora LaBayan (Henry) of Kansas City, MO; brother: Danny Cox (Shari) of Butler, MO; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years in 2016, Marie; two daughters: Rose Marie Hackett and Dora Mae Brown; and son: Ira "Sanford" Johnson.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 11 ^th at Williams Funeral Chapel in Holden with David Allen Hackett, Stanley's eldest grandson, officiating. Interment will follow at Pisgah Cemetery, north of Chilhowee. Pallbearers will be David Hackett, Mark Hackett, Jerry Hackett, Steve Hackett, Rob Hackett and Jeff Weaver. Honorary Pallbearers will be Troy Childers, Robert Lesley and Jim Floyd.

The family will receive friends, one hour prior to service, Friday at the funeral home.
