Robert Lee Whitington, 93 of Warsaw, Missouri passed away Monday, February 8, 2021 at Northcare Hospice House in North Kansas City.

Bob was born October 8, 1927 in Winnwood, Missouri the son of Harold E. and Helen E. (Raines) Whitington.  He graduated from Westport High School in Kansas City.  He served two years in the United States Army, stationed in France.  Bob graduated from Findley Engineering College in Kansas City on April 11, 1951.  He was an Electrical Engineer by trade.  He was employed with Midwest Conveyor Co. in Kansas City, Kansas for several years. He graduated from Calvary Bible College in Kansas City in May of 1972.  Bob resided in Wichita for several years prior to moving to Warsaw 20 years ago. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Warsaw.

He is survived by a daughter, Shirley Whitington and a son, Daniel Whitington, both of Shawnee, KS and his close friend and caregiver, Barbara Donnell of Cole Camp.

Funeral Services will be 12:30 p.m. Monday, February 22, 2021 at Williams Funeral Chapel in Warrensburg with Pastor Johnie Logue of Grace Baptist Church in Warsaw officiating. Interment will follow at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery at Higginsville, with Full Military Honors provided by United States Army Honor Guard, Warrensburg, V.F.W., Post #2513 and American Legion, Post #131.
