Robert Tennyson, 69 of Warrensburg, Missouri passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at his home.

Robert was born April 9, 1950 in Kansas City, son of Raymond Winford Tennyson and Norma Jean (Clark) Tennyson.  Following high school, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps.  He was united in marriage to Virginia F. Volner on January 1, 1971 in Vegas, Nevada.  The couple made their home in Santa Anna, California, among other places, prior to moving to Kansas City.  They moved from Tennessee to Warrensburg this past year.

Survivors include his wife: Virginia; daughter: Janice Vochatzer (Jeff) of Blue Springs, MO; son: Robert Tennyson, II. (Shelley) of Texas; four grandchildren: Robert Tennyson, III (Dana) of Florida; Meaghan Hough (Quintin) of Odessa, MO; Gunner Meyer of Oak Grove, MO and Conner Tennyson of Texas; great granddaughter: Paytin Hough and another on the way; sister: Linda Johnson (Robbie) of Blue Springs, MO; three brothers: Raymond Tennyson, II (Penny) of Georgia; Donnie Tennyson (Jessica) of Lone Jack, MO and Jeff Tennyson (Diane) of Lee's Summit, MO; and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather: Norma and Edward Comstock; sister: Cynthia Shepherd; and brother: Michael Tennyson.

Due to the current CDC restrictions, services will be private.

Private interment will follow at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery at Higginsville, with Military Graveside Honors being provided by the United States Marine Corps.

Memorial Contributions are suggested to the Veteran's Assistance League at the Warrensburg Veterans Home.
