Robert J. "Bob" Kavanaugh, 76 of Warrensburg, Missouri passed away Monday, October 29, 2018 at St. Luke's East Hospital in Lee's Summit.

Bob was born January 30, 1942 in Warrensburg, son of Harland D. and Dorothy L. (Sutton) Kavanaugh. He graduated from Warrensburg High School. He served in the Missouri National Guard. Bob was united in marriage to Nancy L. Stoneking on July 2, 1965 in Warrensburg. The couple resided in Greenwood, Pleasant Hill and a farm near Leeton prior to returning to Warrensburg. Bob was a Shriner. He also enjoyed camping and watching old war movies.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy; daughter: Angela (Ernie) King of Warrensburg, MO; son: Matt Kavanaugh of Lee's Summit, MO; three grandchildren: Brandon (Melissa) Sapp of Warrensburg, MO; Samantha Sapp of Warrensburg, MO and Emma Kavanaugh of Lee's Summit, MO; great grandson: Fletcher Ryan Sapp; sister: Sharon Smith of Blue Springs, MO and brother: Charles (Sharon) Kavanaugh of Warrensburg, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law: Cajun Smith.

Graveside Service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 2nd at Warrensburg Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Rev. Dr. Randall Neal of Grover Park Baptist Church officiating.

Memorial Contributions are suggested to the Warrensburg Senior Center.
