Richard Lowell "Rick" Thompson, 70 of Holden, Missouri; formerly of Belton passed away Sunday, December 12, 2021 at his home.

Rick was born November 17, 1951 in Highland, Kansas the son of Robert L. and Wilma B. (Haupt) Thompson.  He graduated from Warsaw High School.  He enlisted in the U. S. Navy and served from 1971 to 1979.  On April 14, 1981, Rick was united in marriage to Jonnie S. Miller.  The couple resided in Belton for 36 years prior to moving to Holden in 2017. He was a purchasing agent with ENGA for 15 years. He was an active member of Kingsville Baptist Church, where he taught the Men's Ministry, sang in choir and served as a backup Sunday school teacher. He also enjoyed spending time in his woodworking shop and traveling.

Survivors include his loving wife of 40 years, Jonnie; sons and daughters: Michelle Jisa (Daniel) of Excelsior Springs, MO; Brad Thompson (Kathryn) of St. Paul, MN; Jenni Kent (Paul) of Kearny, MO; Lisa Stewart (Chuck) of Belton, MO; and Ami LaPointe (Kirk) of Holden, MO; brother: Robert Thompson (Martha) of North Kansas City, MO; 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Barbara Thompson.

There will be a private graveside service held at a later date.
