Merrilyn K. Cockrum, 86 of Knob Noster, Missouri passed away Thursday, July 22, 2021 at St. Luke's North Medical Center in Kansas City.

Merrilyn was born February 4, 1935 in Holden, Missouri the daughter of Ralph and Kathryn (Crabtree) Anderson.  She graduated from Knob Noster High School.  She was united in marriage to Alfred J. "Junior" Cockrum on July 2, 1954 in Knob Noster.  Previously, Marrilyn worked in Warrensburg in a shoe factory.  Then she worked at home, helping with the farm and raising their children.  Her passions were quilting, going to watch Junior play country music and dance,  She especially loved spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include her sister: Evelyn Richards of Sedalia, MO; son: Scot Cockrum and wife, Lisa of Knob Noster, MO; six grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Junior and son, Rick.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 27 ^th at Williams Funeral Chapel in Warrensburg with Rev. Charles Brant officiating. Interment will follow at Wampler Cemetery, north of Knob Noster.  Pallbearers will be Joe Cockrum, Brian Cockrum, Justin Cockrum, Nathan Cockrum, Zachary Cockrum and Javonte Cockrum

The family will receive friends, one hour prior to service Tuesday at the funeral home.
