Marjorie Ann (Browning) Simmons passed away peacefully at Country Club Care Center in Warrensburg, MO on Friday, February 23, 2024, at the age of 94. She was born on August 7, 1929 in Centerview MO to Warner Renick and Carol Mae (McWhirt) Browning, who preceded her in death.

Marjorie graduated from College High School in Warrensburg MO on May 21, 1947 and then attended St. Mary's School of Nursing in Kansas City, MO pursuing a career in nursing until her retirement.

On October 20, 1951, she was married to Albert Orin (Bub) Simmons. Al and Margie farmed in the Columbus MO area for many years, then moved to Salem, OR, Peoria, AZ, and back to Hillsboro, OR. Marjorie later returned to the Warrensburg area where she resided until her death.

She was a devoted member of the United Methodist Church.

Marjorie is survived by her sons John Douglas (Karen) Simmons of Roundup, MT and Joseph Orin (Deborah) Simmons of Knob Noster, MO. Her three grandchildren: Stacy (Jason) Goodwin, Cody and Chase of Knob Noster MO; Bryan (Amy) Simmons; Colby, Chance, Matthew and Audrey of Blue Springs, MO; and Andrew (Lauren) Simmons of St. Paul, MO.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband Albert, a sister Mildred (Tootie) Bird and a brother Charles (Bud) Browning.

A private family service and burial will be planned after cremation at a later date.
