Frances "Laverne" Warren, 87 of Warrensburg, Missouri passed away Sunday, March 8, 2020 at Warrensburg Manor Care Center.

Laverne was born April 17, 1932 in Warrensburg, the daughter of John C. Phillips and Nellie Frances (Stout) Phillips.  She worked for United Telephone for several years.  Later, she worked at the Unifem Factory in Warrensburg.  More recently, she was a cook at Johnson County Care Center.  Laverne enjoyed reading, sewing and going to flea markets and country shows.

She's survived by a son: Mike Ray; brother: Bill Phillips of Osceola, MO; sister-in-law: Phyllis Phillips of Warrensburg and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her son: Dale Ray; daughter: Janet Fanning and two brothers: Tommy Phillips and Leroy Phillips.

Memorial Graveside Service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 22 ^nd at Sunset Hill Cemetery in Warrensburg with Pastor John Phillips, nephew officiating.
