Lance Richard Reid, 24 of Kansas City, Missouri passed away unexpectedly Thursday, January 23, 2025 at his home.

Lance was born August 7, 2000 in Blue Springs, Missouri the son of Heidi Maria (Maillet) Reid and Anthony Christen Reid.  He graduated from West Platte High School in Weston.  Following graduation, he resided in Independence prior to moving to Kansas City more recently.  Lance enjoyed writing, writing Rap music as well as gaming. Lance was a bright and charismatic young man with a contagious smile.  He had a way of drawing people in – easygoing genuine nature and love for dogs made him instantly likable.  You couldn't help but be drawn to his warm personality and engaging conversation.

Survivors include his parents: Heidi Reid (Seth Arnold) of Richmond Hill, GA and Anthony Reid of Grandview, MO; siblings: Shawn Reid of Richmond Hill, GA; Devin Reid of Weston, MO and Lily Arnold of Richmond Hill, GA; MGP: Donald (Elise) Maillet of Pleasant Hill, MO; Tena Drinnon (Larry) of Hammon, OK;  and Elsie Stephens of Hammon, OK; PGF: Joan (Wall) – Reid Smith (Steve) of Peculiar, MO; MGGM: Ruby Hardesty of Holden, MO; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his PGF: Dennis Richard Reid; PGGF: Homer Wall; MGGM: Alice Maillet and MGGF: Clyde Bottom; PGGP: Richard and Ruby Reid and cousin: Bailey Bell.

Funeral Services will be 12:00 p.m. Thursday, January 30th at Williams Funeral Chapel in Holden with Rev. Greg McClure of Bear Creek Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow at the Wall Cemetery.

The family will receive friends, one hour prior to service, Thursday at Williams.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be left to the Lance Richard Reid Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
