Obituary

Dr. Kenneth Paul Riordan, 79, of Leeton, Missouri passed away Friday, December 1, 2023 at home, surrounded by his loving family and ready to meet His Savior.

Kenneth was born December 25, 1943 in Kansas City, Missouri to John J. and Pat (Eason) Riordan. Following graduation from high school, he attended Brigham Young University. In 1962, he went on a mission to the Northwestern States Mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he enjoyed serving the Lord and sharing His word. He then worked as a labor missionary building the LDS Church on Savage Street in Grants Pass, Oregon. He was united in marriage to Pearl Ann Piilani McDonald on August 20, 1965 in the Salt Lake City, Utah Temple.  The couple resided in California, Oregon, Washington, Hawaii, Missouri, Rhode Island and Illinois throughout their 58 years of marriage.

Ken loved serving Jesus Christ. He enjoyed studying God's words, especially The Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ. He was dedicated to his family and serving others. Ken loved his large family above all things and looked forward to every new child, grandchild and great grandchild.

He worked hard throughout his life and enjoyed his careers in construction management, as the owner of care facilities for the elderly and disabled and as a chiropractor. Despite having a heart attack and stroke in 2001 that caused some paralysis, he continued to build, work and serve. He and his wife also served a church service mission from home in family history for 7 years. Ken was gifted in building and creating beautiful things. He was a problem solver and could fix most everything.

Survivors include his wife Pearl Ann; his children: John (Leeton, MO), Celestia Cluff  (Medford, OR), Nephi (Casa Grande, AZ), Moroni (Kaaawa, HI), Enoch (deceased), Ammon (Lincoln, CA), Aukai (Monkton, MD), Joseph (Kimberly, ID), Lamoni (Vernal, UT), Mosiah (Warrensburg, MO), Ezra (Brookings, OR), Nialani (deceased) and Christopher (Leeton, MO); fifty six grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. (viewing at 9:00 a.m.) Saturday, December 9th at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Warrensburg, Missouri.

There will be a private interment in Rogue River, Oregon at a later date.
