John D. Sears, 65 of Harrisonville, Missouri; formerly of Kingsville passed away Thursday, January 3, 2019 at Cass County Medical Center in Harrisonville.

John was born July 28, 1953 at Ft. Riley, Kansas; son of James H. and Donna Jean (Pfeiffer) Sears. He lived at Green City, Missouri prior to moving to Renick where he started school. Next, he lived with his family at Cairo, Missouri. John lived in Kingsville, since 1967, having graduated from Kingsville High School. He had lived in Harrisonville for the past several years. John was employed with Casco Area Workshop at the time of his passing.

Survivors include his parents: James and Donna Sears of Kingsville, MO; two sisters: Jamey (Mickey) Fleeman of Pleasant Hill, MO and Debbie Fleeman of Kingsville, MO; brother: Jeff (Bernadette) Sears of Louisburg, KS; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Mr. & Mrs. G. G. Pfeiffer; paternal grandparents: Emmett and Dollie Sears; and his brother-in-law: Danny Fleeman.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time, Monday at the funeral home.
