John Robert Luellen, 84 of Warrensburg, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, July 4, 2023 at Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg, Missouri, surrounded by his family.

John was born on February 7, 1939, in Picher, Oklahoma, the son of Charles Frank Luellen and Irene Marie (Thomas) Luellen. He graduated from College High in 1957 in Warrensburg. On February 5th, 1960, he was united in marriage to Anna Louise Zeh at the First Baptist Church in Warrensburg.  In Warrensburg, John's employment history included Unifem briefly before employment with Western Electric (AT&T) for twenty plus years before retirement. He enjoyed part time security at Disney World in Orlando, Florida. He was also employed with the Johnson County Assessor's Office in Warrensburg, Missouri for 15 years, where he retired. In 1972, John joined the Masonic Lodge Of Warrensburg (Corinthian Lodge #265). While living in Warrensburg, he was an active member of the Warrensburg Baptist Church, serving as a Deacon, Trustee and greeter.  He was a loving father and husband, passionate about his grandchildren and John Deere tractors. John's quick wit and genuine kindness touched the lives of everyone he met.  His absence will be felt by all.

He is survived by his wife: Anna Luellen; daughters: Deborah Couch (Chaylon) of LaTour, Missouri; Lisa Grafmiller (Jim) of Senoia, Georgia; grandchildren: Matthew Couch (Kelly) of Troy, Missouri; Timothy Couch (Ashley) of Seattle, Washington; David Grafmiller of Senoia, Georgia; Andrew Couch (Teresa) of Fenton, Missouri; John Grafmiller (Jordan) of Senoia, Georgia; Brittany Couch of Lawrence, Kansas; Joshua Grafmiller of Senoia, Georgia.  He is preceded in death by his parents: Charles and Irene Luellen; daughter: Melinda Luellen.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 8th at Williams Funeral Chapel in Warrensburg, Missouri with Pastor Jeff Gray officiating. Interment will follow at Warrensburg Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Matthew Couch, Timothy Couch, David Grafmiller, Andrew Couch, Johnua Grafmiller, Brittany Couch and Josh Grafmiller. Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Christopher, Bill Brenner, Bobby Fisher, Les Grow, J.O. Miller and Jerry Young.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to service.

Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude's Hospital, Wounded Warrior Project or Research School Of Nursing in care of the funeral home.
