John David Adams, 67 of Holden, Missouri passed away Friday, September 20, 2019 at Research Medical Center in Kansas City.

John was born March 2, 1952 at Ponca City, Oklahoma, the son of John Nelson Adams and Alice Daisy (Smoot) Adams. He graduated from Chilhowee High School, Class of 1970. He married Cecelia "Marie" Dewey on July 17, 1970 at Chilhowee. The couple resided in Chilhowee, Leeton, Salt Lake City, Utah; Chalis, Idaho; Holden and later, Warrensburg. John married Jennifer Carol Nixon on May 17, 1986 in Holden. John loved going motorcycle riding and having breakfast with Booker. He also enjoyed attending his grandchildren's activities.

Survivors include his wife, Jennifer; daughter: Jennifer Kreisel (Brad) of Pleasant Hill, MO; three sons: David Adams (Heather) of Pleasant Hill, MO; Jeremy Flaspohler (Karley) of Holden, MO and Jason Flaspohler of Holden, MO; eight grandchildren: Taylor Kreisel, Tanna Kreisel, Carlee Adams, Macee Adams, Tyler Flaspohler, Jesse Flaspohler, Kamdyn Whenham and  Kooper Whenham; and one great grandson: Dayton Russell Flaspohler. He was preceded in death by his parents and his stepfather: Ernest Greene.

Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 25 ^th at Williams Funeral Chapel in Holden with Rev. Pat Kelley officiating. Interment will follow at the Medford Cemetery south of Holden. Pallbearers will be David Adams, Jeremy Flaspohler, Jason Flaspohler, Tyler Flaspohler, Brad Kreisel and Kyle Hanna.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the John David Adams Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
