Joe J. Weeks, of Chil howee, MO, departed this life on May 22, 2022, at the Warrensburg Veterans Home at the age of 82 years, two months, and 19 days.

Joe was born March 8, 1940, to John R. Weeks and Mary E. Weeks. He is survived by his wife Luann of Chilhowee, his daughter Anita E. Cagle of Katy, TX, and Andrea E. Dixon of Kingwood TX,4 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Mary Carr, brother Charles Week, and nephew John Carr. Joe joined the Marine Corps in 1960. Joe served in the Vietnam War and retired as 1st Sgt. in 1980. He raised cattle, horses, and mules in the Chilihowee area for over 20 years. He will be remembered as a storyteller and was always ready to go horseback
riding. A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. July 16, 2022, at Shawnee R-3 School. Military honors at 11 a.m. Followed by a pot luck luncheon with time afterward to celebrate his life. Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Shawnee R-3
School, 1193 Route 13, Chilhowee, MO 64733 for their playground fund.
