Jesse George Lee, 66, died in his home in Knob Noster, MO. surrounded by his wife, family, and

friends.

Jesse was born September 25, 1955 in Fort Worth, TX. to Victoria Ramirez. Jesse proudly

served in the United States Air Force for 12 years with tours in Germany and Vietnam before

being honorably discharged as a Staff Sargeant. His training as an electrician lead to his

careers at Whiteman Air Force Base and 16 years at The University of Central Missouri where

he retired April 2022.

Jesse was previously married to Nona Dowis and Lisa Rowland. On September 10, 2017 Jesse

married the love of his life, Laura (King) Smith.

The whole Lee Tribe has shared and will carry on their Northern Cheyenne traditions now into

the fifth generation. As the Lee Tribe patriarch Jesse shared his knowledge and skills with

anyone and everyone who asked. His large family consists of blood and chosen just the same.

Jesse loved hunting, fishing, and camping; and passed that love onto his kids and grandkids

alike.

Jesse was preceded in death by his parents, ten brothers and sisters, his son Matthew Lee, and

grandchildren Gabriel Sander and Faith Smith. Jesse is survived by his wife, Laura; 5 sons

Jeremiah Smith (Haven), Jesse (Olivia), John (Tayler), Juaquin, Jacquen (Ashley); and 4

daughters Katharine Stowell (Arthur), Leslie Aguilar (Froylan), Cheyenne Sander, Victoria

Shetterly (Matthew). His legacy will be carried forward in 25 grandchildren, 5 great-

grandchildren and many dear friends and family.

A Celebration of Life for Jesse will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at 1 pm at Heartland

Baptist Church in Knob Noster.
