Jacques "Jackie"
Elaine Franklin
Nov 12, 1935 — Jul 24, 2021
Jacques Elaine Franklin, known as Jackie by her friends, passed away at her home in Warrensburg on Saturday, July 24, 2021, surrounded by her children and enveloped in love. Jackie was born November 12, 1935, in Kansas City, Kansas. She lived most of her life in Kansas City and Warrensburg. In her younger years, she traveled the country on a speed skating team and won many medals. She was an active volunteer at the Clothes Closet south of Warrensburg, where she made lifelong friendships. As a loyal Chiefs and Royals fan she watched every game cheering them on for a win. Jackie loved all animals, especially her dogs. And her children's dogs. And her neighbor's dogs. And any dog walking down the street. She was fascinated by birds and squirrels and kept them fed in seed, suet and peanuts. Her grandson, Kevin John Dorman, was her trusted sidekick in keeping all the feeders full.
Jackie was blessed with five children: Kendalle Salyer (Doug); Kevine Colburn (Kevin); Karleen Oas (Dan); Forrest Roudebush; and Claudia Campell Blake (Robert); five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Her life was dedicated to her family. She was preceded by her parents and sister. Jackie's favorite charities were St. Jude's, Feed the poor, and Warrensburg Clothes Closet.
