Jack D. Easterwood, 89, passed away peacefully in his home on the evening of Wednesday, August 7th, 2024. A proud Army veteran, Jack served his country with honor during the Korean War as a member of the 508th Infantry.  Jack married Jeanie Faye Easterwood, and together they raised two children, Jack W. Easterwood and Cary Adams.

Jack spent his life as a dedicated postal carrier and farmer, serving the Warrensburg, MO, community. He enjoyed watching football, cooking, reading, fishing, and playing cards with his friends, finding joy in the simple pleasures of life.

Jack is survived by his children, Cary Adams (Kenny) of Sunrise Beach, MO, and Jack W. Easterwood (Paula) of Chilhowee, MO; his grandchildren, Jennifer Gauchat of Sunrise Beach, MO, Andrew Gauchat (Janice) of Lee's Summit, MO, Jedediah Adams (Charlotte) of Warrensburg, MO, Melanie Burford of Warrensburg, MO, Emily Erisman (Brent) of Centraila, MO, Adam Easterwood (Allison) of Warrensburg, MO, and Lydia Easterwood (Ben) of Holden, MO; 21 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles R. and Mary Virginia Easterwood, and his beloved wife, Jeanie Faye Easterwood.

A small graveside service is planned for 1:00 pm, Sunday, August 18th, 2024, at Pisgah Cemetery, where Jack will be laid to rest.
