Helen I. (Anderson) Garrett, 90 of Holden, Missouri passed away Saturday, April 8, 2023 at Sunrise Rehab in Raymore, Missouri.

Helen was born March 2, 1933 to Willie A. and Ollie J. Welch) Anderson in Huntingdale, Missouri.  On February 4, 1955, she married James S. Garrett in Kansas City, Kansas.  Helen worked at Aetna Life Insurance Company to help put her husband through dental school.  Following dental school, she worked side by side at his practice from August 1961 to November 1991.

Helen was a lifetime member of the American Trap shooter Association, where she was a ladies state champion, and the Holden Gun Club.  She loved the outdoors, spending many happy times hunting and fishing with her husband and friends.

She leaves to mourn her passing a daughter, Pamela S. Lukenbill and husband, Jeffery of Harrisonville, MO; three grandsons: Derek J. Schlotzhauer of Harrisonville, MO; Austin Garrett Schlotzhauer and wife, Molly of Belton, MO; and Garrett Corbett Allen Lukenbill of Harrisonville, MO  and five great grandchildren: Hunter, Brody, Maverick, Malachi and Jayleigh Schlotzhauer as well as family and friends.  She was preceded in death by her husband; daughter, Jamie L. Schlotzhauer, her parents, a brother, Virgil L. Anderson and a sister, Barbara M. Chapman.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 14 ^th at Williams Funeral Chapel in Holden, with interment to follow at the Holden Cemetery.  The family will receive friends, one hour prior to service, Friday at Williams.
