Gregory Allen
Gasper
Feb 6, 1967 — Mar 3, 2025
It is with deep sorrow and profound respect that we announce the passing of Gregory Gasper, a beloved father, husband and respected member of his community, on March 3, 2025. He was 58. His life, marked by dedication, service and love, touched the lives of many.
A proud Air Force veteran (and die-hard Ohio State fan), Greg served his country with honor and integrity, earning a reputation as a reliable and courageous member of the military. His commitment to service extended beyond his military career, as he became a federal employee, working diligently to support his nation and ensure a better future for all.
Greg was also a passionate advocate for individuals with intellectual disabilities, serving as the area director for Special Olympics. His tireless work brought joy, opportunities and a sense of belonging to countless athletes, allowing them to achieve their dreams and experience the power of sport. Always the champion for individuals with disabilities, Greg also served as board president for RISE community services.
A lifelong learner, Greg earned his Ph.D. after years of hard work, dedication, and a love for education. He was incredibly proud of his accomplishments, both academically and personally. His story was one of perseverance, setting an example for all who knew him.
Greg was a self-taught cook, and his brisket and cheeseburgers were the stuff of legend. His love for food and cooking was just another way he showed his care for others.
Above all, Greg was a devoted family man. He was a loving husband to Clarissa and an incredible father to Dalton and Alexis. His family meant the world to him, and he worked tirelessly to provide for them, nurturing them with love, wisdom and unwavering support. He ended every conversation with his kids with the words, "be happy, healthy, safe and OK." Greg is further survived by his mother Linda Gasper, brothers Todd Gasper and Scott (Lauren) Gasper as well as numerous close family members.
His legacy will live on through his children, the countless lives he impacted through his work, and the strength of his family, who will carry forward his dedication to service, compassion, and excellence. Greg will be deeply missed, but his memory will remain alive in the hearts of those who loved him.
A celebration of life will be held on March 12, 2025 from 5-7 PM at Williams Funeral Home, Warrensburg MO. Private burial at Higginsville Veterans cemetery will take place on March 13, 2025. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to RISE Community Services of Warrensburg or the Healing House, Inc. of Kansas City.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Good Shepherd Hospice for their amazing dedication and care.
