Doris Jean Nace, 88 of Knob Noster, Missouri passed away Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg.

Doris was born January 26, 1933 in Warrensburg, Missouri the daughter of Albert and Georgia (Fraiser) Cole.  She was united in marriage to Donald "Leon" Nace on December 1, 1962 in Higginsville.  The couple made their home in Knob Noster.  Doris was employed at a garment factory in Higginsville for several years.  Later, she worked in the cafeteria at Knob Noster School.  Doris loved making cookies for her great grandchildren and she was an avid reader.

Survivors include her son: Steve Nace (Sherri) of Knob Noster; sister: Lucille Murry of Spring Hill, KS; three grandchildren: Erica Schwenneker (Brian) of Warrensburg; Vanessa Garrigus (Derek) of Sedalia and Cole Nace of Knob Noster; five great grandchildren: Chase Rion, Brayden Patrick, Blake Austin, Finley Steven and Madisyn Brooke.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon; two sisters: Lula Cole and Ruby O'Dell and a brother: Roy Cole.

Graveside Service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 26 ^th at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, south of Knob Noster with Pastor John Phillips officiating. Pallbearers will be Cole Nace, Jason Smith, Keith Murry, James Bell and Jim Gill.

Memorial contributions may be left to Mt. Tabor Cemetery Assoc. or Pleasant Grove Cemetery Assoc. in care of the funeral home.
