Donna R. Nelson, 77 of Warrensburg, Missouri passed away Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Western Missouri Medical Center.

Donna was born April 4, 1944 in Jamestown, North Dakota the daughter of Lester and Edna (Kopperud) Wojcik.  She graduated from Jamestown High School.  She was united in marriage to Monte C. Nelson on December 26, 1967 in Jamestown.  The couple initially made their home in New Leipzig, North Dakota.  Due to both she and Monte's government careers, the couple lived all over the country as well as ten years in Europe.  In 1988, they were reassigned to Whiteman Air Force Base and have resided in Warrensburg since that time.   Donna worked for the Department of Defense for 30 years. She loved to play the slots.  She also enjoyed music, dancing, playing cards and especially being with family.

Survivors include her loving husband of 54 years, Monte; daughter: Marnie Sizemore (Shannon) of Lake Saint Louis, MO; four grandchildren: Riley Newton, Gage Newton, Mitch Nelson and Danielle Nelson; sister: Joann Soulis of Jamestown, ND; two brothers: Richard Wojcik (Betty) of Billing, MT and James Wojcik (Janna) of Arkansas and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her son: Rob Nelson on January 11, 2018 and both of her parents.

An intimate celebration of life gathering will be scheduled at a later date.
