Darla Irene Washington, 52 of Higginsville, Missouri; formerly of Warrensburg passed away Saturday, January 27, 2018 at her home.

Darla was born October 16, 1965 in Bradenton, Florida. She was raised in Bradenton, having graduated from Southeast High School. Prior to moving to Higginsville, to be closer to one of her sisters, she was a resident of Warrensburg since the early 1990s. Darla was employed at the Johnson County Workshop in Warrensburg for several years. She was a very social person, who loved staying in touch, whether it be by telephone or by writing letters.

Survivors include two sisters: Earlene Ingram and husband, Kenneth of Orange Park, FL and Donna Kidd of Higginsville, MO; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Marion Leavitt and brother, Michael Kidd.

Graveside Service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 2nd at Sunset Hill Cemetery in Warrensburg with Rev. Charles Brant officiating.
