Clyde Richard
Repp
Mar 26, 1950 — Jun 24, 2024
Clyde Richard "Dick" Repp, 74, of Independence, Missouri passed away Monday June 24, 2024, at The Groves in Independence.
Dick was born March 26, 1950, in Warrensburg, Missouri the son of William Repp and Alice (Courtney) Repp. He graduated high school from the Missouri School for the Blind in St. Louis. He returned to Warrensburg to enroll in Central Missouri State University, where he earned a degree in psychology. Though Dick's blindness presented obstacles, it was never a barrier that prevented his fun and lighthearted nature from shining through. He enjoyed nothing more than laughing and spending time with his family-siblings, sons, nieces, and his many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He considered himself an amateur historian, always enjoying reading and learning interesting facts and trivia. Of course, his favorite bit of history was the Kansas City Royals-he was a lifelong baseball fan and rarely missed listening to a Royals game on the radio.
Dick is survived by sons: Jeffrey Repp of Washington, David Repp of Colorado, and Ethan Repp of Washington; grandchildren: Avery Repp and Luke Repp; and brother and sister-in-law: Carl and Debbie Repp of Centerview, Missouri; nieces, grandnephews, and grandniece. He is preceded in death by his parents Bill and Alice Repp and sister Suzanne Collins.
Dick will be interred at Centerview Cemetery during private services. The family will host memorial services later in the fall.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution may be made to the Missouri Council for the Blind or the Missouri School for the Blind in care of Williams Funeral Chapel.
Arrangements entrusted to Williams Funeral Chapel in Warrensburg.
