Charlie "Chuck" Marion Kavanaugh passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 13, 2026, to join his Heavenly Father.

Charlie never knew a stranger, and for those that knew him, he always expressed his sense of humor.  Charlie worked as the Western District County Commissioner for Johnson County, Missouri. He also owned his own vendor business and kids called him the "Popcorn Man".

Charlie leaves behind the love of his life, wife: Sharon; sister: Sharon Smith of Lee's Summit, MO; sister-in-law: Karen Woods (Keith) of Knob Noster, MO; brother-in-law: Walter Kramer (Norma) of Independence, MO; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and several friends, including good friend: Floyd Hall; and his coffee friends and staff at Mary Janes Café.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Williams Funeral Chapel in Warrensburg.
