Carole Marlene Del Vecchio, 72 of Warrensburg, Missouri passed away Sunday, January 28, 2024 at the Warrensburg Manor Care Center.

Carole was born September 28, 1951 in St. Louis, Missouri, daughter of Arthur Meier and Elizabeth (Boyer) Meier. She graduated from Southeast Missori State University with a Masters Degree of Education. Carole was united in marriage to Stephen C. Del Vecchio on June 2, 1973 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Residing in Cape Girardeau, she taught high school math education at the Cape Girardeau and Oak Ridge school districts before retiring in 2004. The couple moved to Warrensburg in 2005, where Carole taught at Crest Ridge School until 2015.

Carole was an avid reader and art lover. She enjoyed puzzles, math jokes, and brain teasers. She was an innovative teacher and lifelong learner. Her legacy will remain with the people she taught to be brilliant, much like herself.

Carole is survived by her husband: Steve Del Vecchio; daughters: Elizabeth Del Vecchio; Kari Del Vecchio; grandchild: Taylor Del Vecchio; sister: Karen Kiser and her husband Jay; and nieces: Cindy and Jessie. She is preceded in death by her parents.

A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 17, 2024 at Williams Funeral Chapel in Warrensburg. Visitation to be held 30 minutes prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Crest Ridge School District in care of the funeral home.
