Carol E. Watterson, 77 of Warrensburg, Missouri passed away Saturday, November 19, 2022 at Western Missouri Medical Center.

Carol Elizabeth Watterson, age 77, Warrensburg, Missouri, passed away Saturday, November 19, 2022, at Western Missouri Medical Center. Carol was born May 4, 1945, in Holden, Missouri, on Doctor Mankin's dairy farm. She was the daughter of Gilbert Henry and Ruby Gladys (Scott) Watterson. Throughout her life Carol lived in the communities of Holden, Leeton, Post Oak, Centerview, and Warrensburg, Missouri, and graduated from Holden High School. After high school, Carol worked as a nanny for the Lord family in Independence, Missouri. She loved working with children. She enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews, and children from her neighborhood. Carol was a member of the Baptist Church. Surviving her passing is one sister, Mary Vivian Johnson, Warrensburg, Missouri, many nieces and nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, Lawrence Stilwell Watterson, Leslie Allen Watterson, Lawrence Dale Watterson, Glen Gilbert Watterson and Byrl Lee Watterson; and by four sisters, Laura May Walton, Martha Jean Downing, Patsy Lou Frazier, and Judith Ann Cortez. A Interment will be held graveside at Pisgah Cemetery near Chilhowee, Missouri, at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, November 30, 2022. Funeral arrangements were made with Williams Funeral Chapel in Warrensburg, Missouri.
