Beverly Jean
Sullins
Nov 17, 1940 — Sep 26, 2026
Beverly Sullins, 85, of Chilhowee, Missouri, passed away peacefully at Adair Village on Saturday, September 26, 2026.
Beverly was born on November 17, 1940, in rural Centerview, Missouri, to Ora Brookshier and Grace Fox Brookshier. She was raised in the Centerview community and attended Centerview Elementary School before graduating from Warrensburg High School in 1957.
Beverly was a lifelong woman of faith and was a member of Centerview Methodist Church and later Chilhowee Methodist Church. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she found comfort in knowing her Heavenly Father was with her through life's ups and downs. She especially cherished the fellowship of her church family and the church ladies.
Beverly worked for Dr. Price Veterinary Services before becoming a farmer's wife, a role she took great pride and joy in. On October 21, 1975, she married Glenvil Sullins. Together, they raised their family and built a life on their farm, carrying on the traditions and values of rural life. Beverly embraced all that came with being a farmer's wife, including making sure the guys always had a good, home-cooked meal waiting for them.
Beverly took great pride in her family and the home they built together. She was known for her kindness, caring heart, and willingness to help others. She volunteered at local and school events, worked the election polls, and was always happy to bake for church events. She enjoyed dancing, playing cards, and working on her genealogy, preserving the history and stories of her family.
Anyone who walked through Beverly's door was treated like family. She loved hosting family dinners and never wanted anyone to spend a holiday or meal alone. If someone didn't have plans, there was always a place at Beverly's table. Her greatest joy, however, was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was their biggest cheerleader and could be found in the bleachers or sitting in a lawn chair at their events, no matter how far she had to travel or how late the event ended. She took immense pride in watching them grow and was always there to support them.
Beverly leaves behind a legacy of faith, family, hard work, kindness, and love. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, but her memory will live on through the family she loved so dearly, the traditions she helped build, and the countless lives she touched along the way.
She is now at peace in the arms of her Heavenly Father, reunited with those who went before her.
Beverly is survived by her husband Glenvil of the home, Her children, Marty (Sherry) Moon Centerview, Mike (Edwina) Moon Chilhowee, and Sherri (Andy) Harper Clinton. 7 grandchildren, Allen Moon, Daniel (Rose) Moon, Melissa (Tristan) Richard, Justin Moon, Bryan Moon, Hannah (Trevor) Elwell, Grant Harper (Kylie). 5 great grandsons and 1 great granddaughter. And special friend Alicia McKay.
She is proceeded by her parents Ora and Grace Brookshier, sister Orene Bass.
