Beverly Jean Hewitt, 64 of Warrensburg, Missouri passed away Friday, January 3, 2025.

Bev was born August 18, 1960 in Clinton, Missouri the daughter of Eugene and Dixie (Hayden) Hewitt.  She was raised in Chilhowee, Missouri and graduated from Chilhowee High School in 1978.  She later moved to Warrensburg.  Bev loved books and reading and found the perfect occupation.  She worked as a librarian at Trails Regional Library for over 37 years.  She retired in November of 2024.  Bev loved traveling, crossword puzzles, and watching Jeopardy.  She was an avid Royals Fan.

Survivors include her mother, Dixie Hewitt and sister, Phyllis McLain (Brian); niece, Dana Creason (Tielyr); nephew, Chris McLain; great niece, Everly and great grandnephew, Bennett; aunt Betty Hayden and several cousins.  She was preceded in death by her father, Eugene and sister, Betsy Jane Hewitt.

Weather Permitting, funeral Services are tentatively scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 8th at Chilhowee United Methodist Church with Pastor Tamera Mortenson officiating. Interment will follow at Carpenter Cemetery, located west of Chilhowee.

The family will receive friends, one hour prior to service, Wednesday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be left to the Carpenter Cemetery Assoc.
