Benjamin Edward Smith, 53 of Leeton, Missouri passed away Monday, April 13, 2026 at Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg.

Ben was born November 28, 1972 in St. Louis, Missouri the son of Thomas Edward Smith and Evelyn Elaine (Evans) Smith. He was raised in St. Louis area, having graduated from Francis Howell High School, Class of 91. Next, he attended Sanford Brown College. During the 1990s, Ben was a nurse. In the early 2000s, he was involved in a devastating automobile accident, which resulted in him being under family care until his passing.

Ben was an avid reader, and he loved working puzzles. He was a Game Show Wizard and he loved music. He was known for his empathy and compassion.

Survivors include his father, Thomas; sister, Nina Smith and brother, Nathan Smith; all of Leeton. He was preceded in death by his mother, Evelyn and brother, Brian.

There will be no services scheduled at this time.
