Anna F. "Ann" Riska, 83 of Warrensburg, formerly of the Columbus Community passed away Saturday, June 22, 2019 at Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg.

Ann was born December 21, 1935, on the family farm near Columbus, daughter of Lorrin Lee Simmons and Gertrude Elizabeth (Haile) Simmons.  She attended College High in Warrensburg.  She married Vaughn E. "Rusty" Riska in 1962 in Oklahoma.  The couple resided in Latour until moving to the family farm near Columbus.  In 1995, Ann moved north of Warrensburg. Through the years, she was employed with Unitog, in Holden and Warrensburg.  More recently, she worked in the cafeteria for Sodexo at CMSU.

For the past twelve years, she had lived with her son, Steve and Cindy.  She loved animals, watching westerns and doing puzzle books.  Ann also enjoyed gardening, in the past, and terrorizing her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include her son: Steve Riska and fiance' Cindy Dean of Warrensburg; step daughter: Cynthia Sanders and husband, Blaine of Magnolia, TX; eight grandchildren and several great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Rusty in 1993; two sisters: Margie Scott and Ethel Lee Schuck and brother, John W. Simmons.

Graveside Service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 27 ^th at the Holden Cemetery with Jeremy Dean officiating.  Pallbearers will be Nate Cockrum, David Dyer, Steve Ring, Paul Dillon, Clark Ring and Brian Warner.

The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Williams Funeral Chapel in Holden.
