Alberta June "Bertie" Edwards, 75 of Knob Noster, Missouri p assed away Friday, May 25, 2018 at The Village at Carroll Park in Grandview.

Alberta was born February 6, 1943 in Warrensburg, the daughter of Albert E. and Viola P. (Cox) Elwell. She was united in marriage to Troy Vernon Edwards. Bertie and Troy were heavy equipment operators for years, which took them all over the country. They moved to Knob Noster and she joined Operating Engineers, Local 101 out of Kansas City until retirement.  Bertie absolutely adored the company of her dogs and cats throughout the years.

Survivors include her aunts: Dorothy Younce and Karen Cox; several nieces and nephews including Sharon (Terry) Kessner; Jeanine (Larry) Rambo; Brenda McCormack and Melissa (Juan) Garza; along with several great nieces; great great nieces; great nephews; great great nephews; and sister-in-law, Norma Elwell.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Troy and brother: Charles Elwell.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 1st at Williams Funeral Chapel in Warrensburg with Rev. Charles Brant officiating. Interment will follow at the Knob Noster Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.
