Life Legacy

Rebella June Tycksen, 65 of Knob Noster, Missouri passed away Saturday, July 28, 2012 at her residence.

Rebella was born September 19, 1946 in Bennett, New Mexico, daughter of Arthur R. “Ott” and Juanita A. (Sartain) Newberry. She was raised in Jal, New Mexico, where she graduated from High School. She attended Columbia Business College in New Mexico. Rebella was united in marriage to Leslie Edward Tycksen on July 16, 1977 in Upland, California. The couple moved to Pomona, California, where she was employed with the school district. Upon retiring from the Victor Valley Union High School District, she and Les moved to Knob Noster in December of 1999. She was an office manager with Lemay Realty in Knob Noster until retiring in September of 2011. Rebella was a member of First Christian Church in Knob Noster. She loved the Red Hat Society. She was a member of Teddy Bear Society, collecting teddy bears of all types. She collected tea pots and loved hosting tea parties. Rebella also enjoyed quilting, camping, fishing and gardening.

Survivors include her husband, Les; three children: Gary Ray Tycksen and wife, Jackie of Knob Noster, MO and their daughter, Christal; Kevin Eugene Tycksen and his wife, Stacy Ann of Nephi, UT and their children: Justin, Zachary and Cynthia; and Michele Beverley and her husband, John of Salt Lake City, UT and their children: Hunter, Aleigha and Austin; three sisters: Retha Petty of Glenwood, AK; Geneva Cook and her husband, Kenneth of Goldswaith, TX and Maydell Snell and husband, Bob of Aztec, NM; two brothers: Joe Newberry of Greenville, TX and Thomas Newberry and wife, Pam of Jal, NM; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by both parents and a Sister: Selma Joy Bracy.

Celebration of Life Service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 4, 2012 at First Christian Church in Knob Noster, with Rev. David Jordan officiating.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the church.
