Mary Martha Anderson, 87 of Holden, Missouri passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at her residence, surrounded by her family.

Mary was born December 21, 1924 in Kansas City, Kansas daughter of Peter J. and Katherine (Grdinovac) Peresko. She was raised in Kansas City, Kansas. She was united in marriage to M. G. “Andy” Anderson on September 28, 1946 in Kansas City, Missouri. The couple lived in Piper, Kansas at one time. Later they moved to a farm near Kingsville. They moved to Holden in 1963. Mary was employed at Holden Manufacturing until retiring after 21 years. She was a longtime member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. She was especially dedicated to anything involving her grandchildren.

Survivors include twelve children: Carl Anderson and wife, Carol of Lee’s Summit, MO; Jenny Boyer and husband, Judd of Centerview, MO; Ernie Anderson and wife, Cheryl of Pleasant Hill, MO; Gerry Anderson of Lee’s Summit, MO; Marsha Miller and husband, Robert of Leeton, MO; Mark Anderson and wife, Chris of Peculiar, MO; Melvin Anderson of Cameron, MO; Elizabeth Brown and husband, Don of Holden, MO; Eric Anderson and wife, Debbie of Lee’s Summit, MO; Vince Anderson of Kingsville, MO; Teresa Anderson of Columbia, MO and John Anderson of Holden, MO; thirty grandchildren; forty seven great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Andy on September 20, 1997; two grandchildren: Kevin Scott Boyer and Katherine Micheal Anderson; four brothers and five sisters.

Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 17, 2012 at Williams Funeral Chapel in Holden with Father Pete Savidge of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church officiating.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

There will be a private interment in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Holden at a later date.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Catholic Charities, in care of the funeral home.
